Again
our prompt for Five minute Friday.

Again  I will try to write.

Again I visit my goals.  Goals to lose weight, lost 30 lbs to gain back 10 and now I have to re-loose that .

Goals to write, to write on a regular basis.

Goals to study God's word on a daily basis.  Write the Word and meditate on it.

Goals to pray more.

Again is the key.  If we don't do it again then we give up and a part of us dies.

It's important to pick it up and try again.

And one day it will be something different that I do AGAIN.  I will have a new habit of these that I struggle with today.

So here I am at FMF and I will try to keep up and continue.

Not to belittle small beginnings. Not to belittle the stating overs, again.

To
  • keep going
  • keep striving
  • keep reading and
  • keep writing and
  • yes back on eating plan to stay on track and add to the goals.

STOP

it was short, but it was a another beginning.

FMF - Complete Peace

5 Minutes...Go...
Are you worried?  Are you anxious?  Most people are or have been at one time or another.  Our word for Five Minute Friday is Complete and I think of the Complete Peace of the Lord as spoken of in Psalms 37: 11. People who are not proud will in inherit the land and will enjoy complete peace.

Peace is not that all is perfect and well, it is the state of the heart.  In Isaiah 26: 3, it tells us that if we keep our mind steadfast on the Lord we will have true peace, because we trust in Him.

True peace.

Complete peace.

Is in the soul.

Worry and agitation is in the soul areas and it is when we are looking at our circumstance or the storm around us.  When we keep our eyes on Jesus then we can be kept in complete perfect peace.  Trusting in the Lord because we know that He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in us.  Notice that He will complete the work.  It is not that we have to work and strive, but rest in trusting him.  The work is His, the trusting is ours.

Keeping eyes on the Lord will bring about complete perfect peace.

FMF - CROWD

Five Minute Friday - 9/14/18

GO

She saw him.  "Oh this is my chance.  The people might kill me for being near them but I have to try, " she thinks.  Reaching, pressing and finally crawling like a child she reaches through the legs of all the people.  Oh so many legs and so many men to get to through.  Finally she reaches him.  Just to touch the hem of his robe.  "Got it", she thinks, then it happened.  Warm honey feeling from the tips of her fingers and all through her body.  "Oh this was worth it", she thinks.  Something she has never felt, forget the crowd around her, this was worth it.  Touching Jesus was all worth it.

Then it happened, He noticed.  He felt the power leave his body and He ask who touched Me.  It was I who touched Him and received in the middle of the crowd.

For we are like this woman.  We reach and reach through the crowd.  We reach through the hands of the clock.  Tick-toc, seconds and minutes and hours tick by.  I must reach Him we think but the crowd of the hands of the clock are in the way.  We must be intentional about getting past the ticking of time and forge out our time like mining for gold or silver, for He is more precious than silver.  He is worth it.

FMF Rain

Five Minute Friday Challenge (my challenge is just to write every Friday)
Today's word is RAIN.
GO
On Friday and Sunday afternoon my husband and I drive to the beach or the bay to take bird pictures.  Greg is a wildlife photographer with a lens on his camera that causes me to call it the Baby.  Tonight he even said it is about the weight of a new born.
There are some ponds on the back side of the beach where he especially likes to go. The ponds have been drying up.  The birds are having a hard time finding fresh water.
The sand is getting so soft that you dare not travel if you don't have 4 wheel drive; I don't think I would even like to be in the drivers seat with the extra power and traction.

The lack of rain has caused the drying up ponds and soft sand.  We have been praying for rain.

The birds and other wildlife are thirsty.

Lord, send the rain.

Even the grass in my yard has been stunted in growth.

Thunder!  Dark clouds came rolling in this week.  The Great Blue Herons and Black Necked Stilts have water in their pond.  More Birds will come.

STOP ... didn't get far in that 5 minutes.

FMF - Rush

This is a Five Minute Friday exercise and today our word is RUSH.
Here Goes.

Rush Rush Rush... every were and everyone is rushing.
We are like little bees buzzing around walking fast because we have too much to do and to little time to do it in.
Sometimes it seems like if I can just get through the next few weeks things will slow down. Then BAM three weeks are gone and we have more to do on our plate. It is time to slow down and smell the flowers as someone has said.

We need to learn the art of saying NO.  Sometimes that is no to your kids who want to be in every sport activity there is.  It is best to choose which sport is favorite and which ones need to go.

My life gets super busy because of responsibilities of work and church and family.  I am learning not to take on other people's responsibilities and lean back a little.

Rush Rush causes stress and that stress can come out in health issues.  I was even taken out of my office in an ambulance because of stress only to find out after a heart cath that my heart is strong and has freeways for arteries.

I am learning that the Sabbath Rest is not just so we go to church and worship God, it is a gift God has given us to take some time a rest and not rush.
