5 Minutes...Go...
Are you worried? Are you anxious? Most people are or have been at one time or another. Our word for Five Minute Friday is Complete and I think of the Complete Peace of the Lord as spoken of in Psalms 37: 11. People who are not proud will in inherit the land and will enjoy complete peace.
Peace is not that all is perfect and well, it is the state of the heart. In Isaiah 26: 3, it tells us that if we keep our mind steadfast on the Lord we will have true peace, because we trust in Him.
True peace.
Complete peace.
Is in the soul.
Worry and agitation is in the soul areas and it is when we are looking at our circumstance or the storm around us. When we keep our eyes on Jesus then we can be kept in complete perfect peace. Trusting in the Lord because we know that He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in us. Notice that He will complete the work. It is not that we have to work and strive, but rest in trusting him. The work is His, the trusting is ours.
Keeping eyes on the Lord will bring about complete perfect peace.
