Again
our prompt for Five minute Friday.

Again  I will try to write.

Again I visit my goals.  Goals to lose weight, lost 30 lbs to gain back 10 and now I have to re-loose that . 

Goals to write, to write on a regular basis. 

Goals to study God's word on a daily basis.  Write the Word and meditate on it. 

Goals to pray more.

Again is the key.  If we don't do it again then we give up and a part of us dies.

It's important to pick it up and try again. 

And one day it will be something different that I do AGAIN.  I will have a new habit of these that I struggle with today.

So here I am at FMF and I will try to keep up and continue. 

Not to belittle small beginnings. Not to belittle the stating overs, again.

To

• keep going
• keep striving 
• keep reading and
• keep writing and
• yes back on eating plan to stay on track and add to the goals.

Day 7 HOPE

H  O  P  E 

Helping Others Prepare for Eternity - HOPE

Preparing for eternity should be our purpose on earth. 

We need to think of our life as only a blip on the radar screen. 

Eternity is a very long time. 

It is the time we live in that we need to make the most of while there is still light of day.  The light, the enlightenment of the Spirit of God to lead us on the way to show others the way to eternal life.

Eternal Life is not just in the every after.

Eternal Life is the Life of God that you can live even on earth, prior to leaving.

Hope is the blue print of faith.  So what are you hoping for, that is what your faith needs to take hold of and bring into your life.

Hope for the future is what God has for you.  Jeremiah 29:11 says that if we seek him and follow after him he will show us the hope for our future that he has prepared for us. 

That future is here on earth, and later in heaven.

We can help others prepare for eternity by being the light that leads them to Jesus.

Keep your light shining and showing the way.

Day 6 Belong

Day 6 Belong

To all of us it is important to feel that we belong.  That is a God given basic need in each of our lives.  This is one of the needs that is satisfied in the love of God when he says he adopted us.  And that we should call Him Abba Father, Daddy God.

Even after someone has accepted Jesus as savior a person can feel that they don't belong.  The lie of the enemy of God is that your sin has separated you from other Christians.  Letting the lies that people won't like you keep you in isolation instead of being part of a church where you can belong and connect with people who will love you and pray for you and with you.

It is important to have teens in a church with a strong Youth Group so they can belong to a healthy group of young people.

Seek the truth and let go of the lies that separates you from the love of God and the belonging that you very much need in your life.

I am behind and this was not a very good write.  But Sometimes it just is what it is.  May the Lord help me express through writing better.

Day 5 - Share Live out loud.

Live Out Loud

The Gospel is God's good news.  It is very simple.

Hear.

Believe.

Receive.

How will they hear if you don't share? 

My daughter recently thought about how she was living on a mission base, teaching her kids home school, ate meals at the mission base and seldom was where she could share her faith.  She prayed and asked God to send her to someone who needed to know him.  Someone who needed a friend.

She went to the library and there was a woman with Easter headdress on and a small child in the children book section.  My daughter approached her and they became friends.  The woman was from Libya and had been in America for 4 years.  Her husband was a student.  She was lonely.  My daughter was the first Christian to approach her. 

To befriend her.

We need to build some relationship with people before we can share the Gospel.  It is so important to get out of our comfort zone and reach out to those who are different from us and let them know that God loves them. 

That it is important to share to love.

As it says in Romans chapter 10.

¹⁴ But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? ¹⁵ And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

Day 4 Why

Timer started ... GO.

Don' t put a question mark where God puts period.

There is so many tragic things that happen in life.  That we want to know why.

Why did my baby die just before the due date?  We expected to bring home my daughter and now we are burring her.

Why did my mother get cancer?  or Why was that drunk driver able to crash into my car and kill my family?

Why are people homeless and with food in the world?  Is God there?  Is God a mean God?

No, God is not mean, God is love.

Don't look around at a fallen world and judge what God Almighty is like.  Look into the Bible.  The Word of God is the only place to find the truth of who He is.

We go through things.

Bad stuff happens.

But God, is there to hold our hand, to heal our hearts and lead us out of the storm.

We need to lean into Him and seek His peace to know that there are some questions we may not have the answer to.  Tell Him how you really feel. Are you angry at God? Are you hurting deep?  Express those feelings to Him and ask Him to heal you? 

The secret things belong to God. 

Deuteronomy 29:29   Secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those that are revealed belong to us and our descendants forever, so that we might obey all the words of this law.

Learn who God is and experience relationship with the Lord Jesus to find peace in your storm.

Peace won't answer the why questions.   Peace will help you go on and grow where you are.

STOP - Five minutes is up and I went a little over.  I find that these 5 minute free writes could become a jump off place for a longer blog post some day.  Seek Peace and God will meet you.

Day 3 Only Believe

Day 3 - Believe

5 minutes write.

GO

Out the the mouth the heart speaks.  You can listen to someone and understand where they are coming from.

Fearful words of worry reflects the deposits of the heart.

Sayings like...

"No one would like me if they really knew me."

"I'll never get out of debt."

There are lots of lies we believe in our hearts.

It's time to truly BELIEVE.  Renew your mind in the words of the Lord. (Romans 12:1-2)
And in Ephesians 5:26 it says that he washes us with the water of the Word.   It is time to bring your believing into line with what the Word of God says about you.

Know, Believe, have Confidence!

You are loved and accepted.

Provision and health is available when you stand on the promises of the Lord.

Only Believe and get rid of the lies of the enemy of God has sold you.

Day 2 - I'm Afraid

Day 2  Afraid

 
Those are powerful words we utter, "I'm Afraid."  

I'm afraid I'll fail.

I'm afraid I can't measure up to what people think.

I'm afraid, there is no money to pay bills.

There are so many things we can put in this sentence.  

So we have to replace our fears with faith in the only one who can bring peace and calm the storms in our lives.  to find the scripture to apply to our needs.  And there is one for every need, every storm under the sun.  

It may be a new era.  A new day in politics.

A new time of technology.

But the same truth in the Word of God is still the same answer for all the newest storms we find ourselves in.  

It is the old old story, but it has new application.

There is not any new storms under the sun.  

We face all the basic same issues they did in old Bible times.  

Lack.  There was a widow that the prophet said go and gather pots and she did and when she had all she thought she needed she shut the door as the prophet said, and God filled the pots with oil she was able to sell and get out of dept.

Healing, many times Jesus Healed and 1 Peter 2:24 says that by His stripes we have been healed.

So don't be afraid, replace your fear with faith and grow on the seed of God's word to run the fear away.
