Watch Night - Prayer and worship

Tonight is the fruit of one of my Dream Board items.  Several years ago I read a book by Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda; The Watch of the Lord.  A few of us ladies from the church had a watch night of prayer (all nighter) a couple of times.  Then last May I invited our "leader ladies" to a retreat place we could slip away to and spend the night in worship and prayer.  It was an awesome time with the Lord.

Tonight we are going to another level.  We will still plan to worship with CDs or and IPOD and not the live music but we will be at the church and several husbands want to join us.  I am excited and have been listening to music this afternoon and praying.  We will have the "list" for prayer to start with, as we all know people who need prayer; those fighting cancer, those who have heart problems and need healing,, or families and marriages that need God's touch.  We have much to praise God for and appreciate the answers he has already given.

We have prayed for Elizabeth Bailey since she was 4 and diagnosed with a brain tumor; through surgeries, and learning to walk again, and many dark and many bright places.  This month Eli at 7 went to the first grade.  Yea! All the Glory to God!

I know that God is listening, looking to and fro across the earth for someone to stand in the gap for those who need him.  For us to call on him to come and intervene in the lives of those in need.

After we pray through all our lists then we will get out of "our agenda" and we will worship and listen to the heart of God for "His Agenda".  That is what is called prophetic intercession.

Too often people pray and tell God all the stuff that is on their list and then get up and leave.  It is time to slow down and listen to what He has to say.

Praising God!
